How this works.
Sequence
The intended sequence is application, scope, readiness, document and evidence review, assessment, findings, corrective action, review, decision, certificate, registry entry and periodic review or renewal. Skipping a stage must be justified in the decision record.
Evidence and competence
Criteria, sampling, assessor competence and limitations must be documented. A reviewer examines findings and conflicts before an authorised decision. Implementation support and final decision roles are separated when objectivity requires it.
Outcome
A decision states exactly what was assessed and what remains outside scope. A negative decision or open finding cannot be hidden by a positive marketing statement. The registry displays status, scope, dates and a verification identifier.
